Press conference in Q4 of 2026: the launch of the MOVE website and the publication of our commissioned research. Media only. Event details

Name and email only. This page sets out what we do with them, and what we will not do.
Last updated 23 October 2026.
When you sign up for MOVE updates, we ask for two things: your name and your email address. There is no phone number, no address and no identity card number, because we do not need any of them to write to you.
Giving us your details is voluntary. Nothing on this site is closed to you if you do not. The only place we get your details is from you.
Every sign-up form on this site carries a line to the same effect: name and email only, used only for MOVE updates, unsubscribe anytime. This page repeats it so that it is written down in one place.
We use your name and email to send you MOVE updates: what has changed in the law, what the evidence says, and what the movement is doing. That is the only purpose.
We hold ourselves to the standards of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 [Act 709], as amended by the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024 [Act A1727]: consent-based, and limited to the purpose you gave your details for. The Act applies to personal data processed in respect of commercial transactions. We do not sell any products, so whether it binds us is a question for our lawyers rather than for this page. We would rather be held to the standard than argue about scope.
You give your details for one purpose, and we use them for that purpose. If we ever want to use them for a different one, we will ask you first.
The Act, with the 2024 amendment, is published as the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709), reprint as at 15 September 2026, Attorney General’s Chambers.
We do not sell the mailing list, and we do not share it with anyone. That includes donors, funders, partners and allied organisations.
We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies today. If that changes, this page will say so first and will name what is collected.
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. Using it takes you off the list, and we stop writing to you.
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to send you a copy so you can take it elsewhere, or to delete it altogether. Write to us through the corrections and enquiries form on our Glossary page and we will act on it.
This site links out to laws, research and news reports so that you can check them for yourself. Once you follow a link, the destination's own privacy policy applies and ours does not. We do not control what other sites collect.
The mailing list is for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18, and where we are told that details belong to someone under 18 we will delete them on request.
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page tells you when we last did.
Our terms of use cover the rest of what this site is, and what it is not.
