Our own research
Forthcoming
MOVE has commissioned an independent research paper on “Malaysia’s Vape Ban: At the crossroads of public health and the black market”. It examines public health, product regulation and the illicit market together.
The paper is due in Q4 of 2026. We will publish a summary of its findings here. Meanwhile, have a look at what is already in our library.

Six rules we hold ourselves to.
01
We name the source and the year where we can. Every citation on this website links to the original where one exists.
02
We publish the disagreement, including the criticism against figures we lean on.
03
Where we are able, we say what a source does not establish in the debate.
04
We do not dress foreign data up as Malaysian data.
05
Our commissioned study gets the same treatment as everything else here.
06
We date every page and correct in public.
